A few fauna mono's

An interesting mono set, Gareth. I very much like the orchid, and I've no idea how you managed to get that black background with a wild orchid. A little depth of field problem on the bottom petal (or whatever it's called)?

Of the tree leaves, I prefer the last one, as there's less distracting background. However, I'm not sure any of them do much for me, TBH!

The reed leaves shot has some lovely almost abstract shapes in it. Particularly in this one (but quite often in 2:3 aspect ratio shots) the portrait format seems very tall and narrow. If you were to print would you want it this narrow? It's quite difficult to crop, but I wondered if taking a it off the bottom to move towards a 3:4 ratio would work?

Pentax hey? I'm a fan too, but I think mine are nearly 40 years older than yours!

Had to PP that black in! Shooting against a dark background helps also to get the balls rolling but a little shadow and black slider adjustment and voila!

Agree about that DOF! Hope'd no one would see it !

I've always stuck to that ratio as that's what the camera is set to!!

Appreciate the comments :)
