C&C Welcome :)

Hi Rob,

The focus seems to have missed her and be sharp on the ground in front of her. Do you use manual or autofocus, and do you use the centre point only?

I used autofocus, no dont only use centre point, I move my focus point to the subject I want to focus on with composition in mind.

I focused on the head, which is in about line (distance wise) with the ground thats also in focus.

I didn't the think the focus on the birds head was that bad?

The eye is in focus, which is the most important thing, the shallow depth of field is blurring the rear of the bird, but that is just the result of shooting wide open with a telephoto.

If anything it is a little dark, but the composition and setting works (y)

I would have liked a closer crop and a bit more sharpness if it was my shot, lots of colour though.

Thank you Martyn and Ric.

I was going for the head in focus and not so much the body, but will keep it in mind for next time. :)
