A nice set # 2 stands out for me, very clean and crisp image.

These were all hand held with natural light...

I really want to add a flash though.......
 
The hover fly is spot on, well done. #1 and #3 could use with localized levels and curves adjustments. #4 has the focal plane slightly out, maybe the bee moved?

I guess I need to learn how to do that....

These are pretty much straight out of the camera with a quick tweak in LR....

An yes #4 wouldn't sit still.... :(
 
Layers and masks are the words to search for. Digital image editing is a bit of a PITA to learn, it took me ages to Transfer/adjust form Black room techniques to those needed in the Digital realm. Still, don't worry about it too much, the images are all well executed (not much we can do about uncooperative insect). I was just nick-picking.
