It's fairly local to me but I only found it a few weeks ago.

According to some chap there they have a few Kingfishers visit quite regularly and I'm very keen to get some photos of one.

I can but agree with the above. Very nice set. I think the second butterfly shot is my fave, but its close with the dragonfly portrait (which maybe a touch over-sharpened?).

re: the Hawker being over-sharpened, I find that seems to happen when I post a picture on this forum ... if you click on the picture it leads to the same shot on Flickr which looks better to me.

We are nearing the end of the season... A few weeks back there was 10-15 flying about my garden and 2 days ago 1.

There are still some about but have to be selective with location. For instance yesterday walk down a canal 1 damsel and 1 dragon was all I saw best to look in long grass/reeds
