Hello, I took a little walk around this lovely area in north London yesterday and managed to get off some decent shots despite the poor light. I think that a lot of the photos I took could have been sharper, and I think this had to do with the light and the fact that I didn't use a tripod.

Please let me know how I did....but go easy as I'm still new to this! Thanks in advance for looking

My camera is a 400D and I used a Sigma 70-300mm APO DG lens. the pics were edited and cropped in Aperture 2.

I do like the shoots I was thinking of a visit there myself.
But off Topic how do you find Aperture V2 is it worth the upgrade from 1.54?

Don't know about 1.54. This is the first time I've used Aperture.

I think it's great and easier to use than Lightroom.

like these a lot,
robin seams a bit soft not totally focused on the bird the head and eyes need to be sharp i feel, eyes are key in most shots.
1st shot is a stunner.
great stuff

Thanks James.

I have another of the robin that did come out with better focus in the head/eye area

I agree, the squirrel shot is great - came out better than I expected ;)

Good shots :) Squirrel is the pick of the bunch for me. After watching and waiting for one the other day I know they can be very shy of cameras and move quickly, so well done for that shot

The Robin needs some sharpening to bring it to life a bit more.
