I have seen them before at Heathrow, and was somewhat underwhelmed then... but I do like going to Manchester, so made for a good excuse

I Spent two years working for Airbus in Toulouse and was there for the first ever A380 flight. They are an amazing piece of kit. Hard to describe just how big they are until stood inside or underneath one. Not particularly long but the diameter of the fuselage and wing span is something else. Amazing aircraft.
