After the rain...

We had a bit of a downpour here this afternoon. The poor petunias didn't like it much, but it did give me the chance to try some more flower shots using the nifty fifty.

beautiful...the colour, light and detail is spot on....any chance you can crop and rotate the bottom one so that the flowers are on a diagonal? It doesn't need the bit at the top IMO..the top one would look great cropped right in to the flower to show off those gorgeous sharp water drops

Thanks Marianne - I'll take another look at the second one although I'm not sure I can make the diagonal idea work as the white flowers are quite close to the bottom.

I like the deep rich red of the first one with the rain drops, and the second has a wonderfull DOF yep two cracking shots.
