Never seen a white squirrel in the wild. Then one pops into my garden and started nibbling on my nuts :wideyed:. A quick grab of the camera and shot through the upstairs window.

 
Very nice a rare find in the wild only 1 in 100,000 are born white
 
At first I thought it was a rat (kinda still is) from the thumbnail. Get some more nuts in there it will be back. :)
 
Thanks all. I've been putting a little extra food out every day. The wood pigeons seem to be very happy about it.

have you got a shot with a traditional squirrel pose?
 
The only other one I got was this one that's blurry.




I went down stairs and it was gone. It hasn't been back yet. The normal ones took it place. As I had the camera in hand I took another one (like I don't have enough lol). But this is the pose I wanted from the Albino.

 
We had a family of white squirrels near our last home in Colinton in Edinburgh.
They were not albino though, as they had normal coloured eyes and no pink bits!
 
Very rare indeed! I've heard of black squirrels but never seen an albino before! Hope it comes back to your garden!
 
It hasn't been back. Shame as I wanted some good shots of it.
