I like the actual images and under ordinary circumstances the B&W conversion would be really good but for me they need to be 'darker'/more sinister (apart from the one with the crowds in it) to reflect the sort of place it actually was

I did actually try various presentations both in Color & B&W but decided I personally prefer these particular shots as they have been presented.

IMO, the conversion is spot on! Great contrast, texture retained on the shadows and a lot of grey.
I particularly like the last one, reminding me of T-Max 3200.
