Go to bed, or wake up to a spider. Taken at around 11pm on Wednesday night, this is a female orb spider/cross spider - Araneus diadematus. These spiders can range from dark brown to almost yellow. This one was orange - helping her to blend in no doubt with the plant leaves and the maybe even nearby house bricks...

A long time ago I won a the Digital Print of the Year when I used to frequent my camera club with a spider photo not to dis-similar to the first one seen here.
