Ashlee - Seafront - Natural Light.

Ashlee asked me to take a few shots (probably for facebook )
so we nipped down to Hythe seafront as the sun was out.

Taken with my 450d & kit lens & then adjusted in Lightroom & Cs3.

I am happy with them on my laptop but do they look ok to you guys?

First one is ok. The sun looks way too bright though - a sunny day is not always a sign that you should rush out and get some pictures

I'm also thinking the focus is in the wrong place on number one with her arm looking sharp at the expense of her face. I like the composition though.

As above, arm is in focus, so something to keep an eye on in the future.

As the light is a bit harsh, better to move in the shade similar to the second picture. But the bright spot on the nose is a bit distracting.

I'd personally try for good eye contact and a smily shot. I'd recommend you have a look at portrait pictures in magazines and see what it is you like about them. Then try again.
