Persuaded friend to pose for a few shots, he was quite impatient though. C&C appreciated.

No1 looks a little dark and the pose is too flat against the wall. No emotion in the eyes either. Don't like the shadow - position of the light could have been moved around towards the camera I think.

No2 is too bright on the subject's right cheek. The shadow of the nose and the glasses is not nice.

Was it a bare flash you used? Try with a brolly or a softbox on the flash.

Thankks for the comments. Still very new to using off-camera flash.

Yes, I was using bare flash. Still undecided whether to get a brolly or a softbox first.
