The colours are really nice. I think it would look even better with the upper part of the image held back less obviously - the reflection off the water is brighter than the sky - and looking more natural. Did you use a filter on the lens Gary, or do this in post?

I agree with Toni. It should be possible to recover this in your software. I don't know what you use but Lightroom would do this in a jiffy.

If you have suitable software, it should be possible to restore a natural look with a graduated filter to lift the darkened section while keeping a good colour in the sky.

I'd also add that to me it looks as though this exposure didn't even need a grad.
