Available light portrait

This was taken on the shaded side of a pub using available light subject just set back from the back door.

I like this. You've worked those eyes haven't you.
Can you tell me what processing you have done to this (apart from the eyes). I like the overall feel of the image. The skins tones are great.

Thanks. But did not touch the eyes. All I have used is a layer of gaussian Blur (about Radius 25 pixels) the reduced the layers opacity to about 10%. Then used rubber tool on the eyes so they stay sharp.

blimey, even better than. They really to come out. I've just looked at some other children pics and the eyes seem to be bright, so perhaps it's just like that with kids.

great catchlights in the eyes. I like the dof and the crops good too. well taken, looks like natural light always wins!
