Hi everyone been a while since i've posted anything

These pics were taken on an outing to Twycross zoo, there was an empty chimpanzee house and a flock of Avocets decided to make good use of the empty space. This was the first time i'd ever seen these birds they are lot bigger than i thought. The problem was the photos had to be taken through the glass window of the enclosure and i couldn't get the composition or sharpness that i would have liked. But still record shots none the less.

Sharp indeed through glass, and the back light creates a nice effect along the bill - well done

Lovely birds and lovely captures. Well taken to say they are through glass. I am looking forward to when they come to Reeds Island near me!
 
Hope u get the shots when the return. If I went out looking for these birds I would probably never see or get close enough to photograph them. Just sheer luck on the day but am not complaining.
