Thanks, Geoff, appreciate your comments, I'm very happy with the printed version.

A lot of details.
I like it.

Just one advice: The photo will be much more interesting with some history.
For example. what is this, location, how it was shoot, any short history of the subject you shoot.

Regards,
Kalin

Ok - its the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank near to Goostrey Cheshire....named after Sir Bernard Lovell.
I have recently got into B+W images having bought an Epson 3880 printer and joined this website http://www.digitalmonochromeforum.co.uk/ where I have learned how to process an image properly, using Texture, tonal range, contrast and mood.... I know I still need more practice since B+W format is an art!!
The last 19 images on my site here have been processed having regards to the above, using Contrast Grading, Silver EFEX Pro, Color EFEX Pro and NIK Sharpening
http://www.pbase.com/dav4184/black_and_white&page=all
.....some maintenance work was going on under the dome hence (I presume) why it is in that position there was green safety netting below (just above the tree line) which becomes insignificant in B+W.
...you asked for it... LOL

Thank you :)
As I always said - you never know.
I follow you link and I got inspired from this forum digitalmonochrome...
Some photos there are unreal. Love it.
And now I am trying to learn this Silver Efex... it is amazing what you could do in a minute or two.
It is just amazing.

Kalin

I agree with Geoff on the whole, But perhaps as Toby says 'you could just slightly open those shadows the image would be even more compelling.' But in saying all that a very nice capture well done!

Thanks, Kalin and Paul, appreciate your comments.

Many thanks, Guys, appreciate all your comments
I like it as is so will leave it without any further processing
I think with this one the black point was set to 7 so it is not perfect black although there is nothing to say with B&W photography that it could not be
Thanks again
Dave
