In an undisclosed place in west Sussex I found this guy, he was busy hunting for a good 2 hours. It even started hailing which gave some nice effects. I am hoping to photograph him for the rest of the week. Thanks for any comments

Very nice captures Liam ... (y) ... you were, indeed very fortunate to have such stunning views over an extended period ... :D

:p

Lovely captures of a stunning bird. If I was near your neck of the woods, I'd be pestering to accompany you watching him quarter the fields. Really like the first one (y)

What makes you think it's a female?

cheers

Well I know that the male is normally whiter than the female, and there was another barn owl there which was whiter. So I am assuming that this is a female but it could be that I am wrong.

Having read some articles I think I was originally right and that it is a male.
