Basketball

You can't really do much to change the lighting in that sort of scenario, you need to work with what is there. Usually, that means higher iso/longer shutter speed/wider aperture.

The Copper Box has a decent lighting for indoor sports - even these days.
For someone who shoots basketball for living - I go for shutter speed of 1/800 minimum - f2.8-f3.5 - ISO 'whatever it needs to be'.
As many more experienced photographers told me when I was starting - that you can always reduce noise in the post processing... but you can't fix a blurry photo (although these days AI is even doing that for us!).
So don't be afraid of the high ISO ... at indoor sports, the high ISO is actually your friend :)
