Two images from the garden today, moved the feeding tables around so took a while for the birds to settle. The sparrows have taken to having nightly mud baths, hoping to get some better images of them doing this.

One of the robins that visits me daily has become very aggressive to any other birds visiting the feeding stations, is this normal behaviour? he has on a few occasions now driven away birds that I would very much like to grab an image of.

I am using sunflower hearts/peanuts/millworms and some general wild bird food.

Thanks for any help

Rob

Those are 2 cracking shots, especially the 2nd one. It's always great to see such common birds we see everyday ( for most us anyway) pictured in a way that makes us think... What interesting little birds they are!

The 2nd is a really lovely shot, very sharp and really well captured in it's moment!

And as for your Robin problem! I would think maybe he or she Is nesting nearby, and that he or she feels threatened or vulnerable with so many different birds near his nesting site! or maybe he's just got up on the wrong side of the bed!
