BBC Radio Presenter At Work

Hi guys

I went and did a bit of an interview on local radio this morning and took my camera along.

I wanted to catch something in the way of a documentary type portrait of the presenter (Andy) while he “did his stuff”. I didn’t want to use flash because that’s a little harsh in such a small space, the studio is lit from one end via a very large dirty window and the walls are very dark red/brown so quite tricky lighting.

Any comments and advice on how to improve the impact is always welcome

Good - I think you have succeded in capturing the type of shot you wanted.
Certainly gives me a feel for the studio activity.

Those are lovely images... I like the first one more than the second as I think it looks more like you've captured the moment!
I like the contrast too..

Well done :)

were these shot on film? love the grain!

i think you have def captured what you set out to do, so big (y) up from me.

I like those :) Think that is the same studio I have taken some shots of another presenter, oddly enough. Were for a text book so not so arts (in fact not arty at all) but those work well :) and knowing the size of the room you did really well :D

Thanks guys :)

I must admit, the more I look at them the more I like them.

they where taken with my D300 + Sigma 24-70 wide open at f2.8 and an ISO of 1000 and recored in NEF (RAW) and then messed up in CS4 for a bit.

And yes, the room is tiny.
