As some will be well aware, getting bees in flight is pretty difficult but sometimes you just don't want to give up trying...

So here's today's attempts - starting with the abject failures to the more successful...

With red-tailed bumbles, and honey bees at the ready - I tried first for the bumbles going for Leycesteria shrub's flowers, and the honey bees going as they always do at fuchsia flowers, and finally, most successfully, the welsh poppy...

3rd from bottom is my favourite of the bunch. Just have to keep on trying but it can be frustrating at times.

Brilliant and thanks for showing the true pain of trying to get a bee inflight I've taken to try and guess which flower bud it will go to next.

Cheers Bryn.

Dozens of wasted frames because of pressing the shutter a fraction to late - means the bee is gone out of view!

You're almost happy to get them out of focus!
