Blue Dragon Fly

The Dragon's nicely captured, but the background is too artificial- particularly as it's lighter at the bottom than the top- whereas the dragon is lit from above. I think a more natural colour choice- or a lifted background from an outdoor shot would work better.
 
Thanks for your feedback Dan. I thought the background colours were complimentary with the colours of the dragon fly.
 
First impressions are that the background looks a little odd, but the dragonfly is superb. :)
 
I think the natural background is better but the highlights on the dragonfly might benefit from pulling them back a bit. Incidentally, it's a male emperor. They're fierce fighters when defending their territory, hence the chunks out of its wings.
