Boeing C-17A Globemaster III

This was in a holding pattern over our house waiting for a slot at Mildenhall or Lakenheath this afternoon while I was in the garden trying to tog birds with an old manual focus lens. Don't normally do planes but couldn't pass up the opportunity as it was only around 1000ft above our house.

Thanks Mads, we get them on a regular basis being a stones throw from two military airfields. The last week I kept seeing Typhon squadrons doing formation drills but they are always at too high an altitude to get any good shots, plus by the time I hear them they are already nearly gone...
