Um. Its an interesting subject, but bang in the middle is a bit boring. You could crop it to the left or right just to put it off centre.
I dont know brighton very well, so I presume there is a replacement pier? behind you maybe? I would have walked to the other side of the burnt out pier, and maybe got some shots of the burnt out pier with the good one in the background.
Other than that, some close ups to accompany this image would have told a good story, showing the damage a little more close up.
