Nice set Peter, Ive never seen one of these their wings are amazing look like lettuce great camouflage I expect.

This butterfly is one of the few that can be seen all the year round in adult form. In winter, they will hibernate in shrubs/trees which is where the need for camouflage is greatest. They can also be seen in flight on warm spells as early as January/February. A pleasant flash of colour at an otherwise drab time of year.
