That's a cracker! And at 150mm too! Is it much of a crop?
I went a little too early in the season this year and they didn't want to come too close no matter how quiet you sat.

subject distance was about 3 metres and shot is around 90% of the original frame

I went a little too early in the season this year and they didn't want to come too close no matter how quiet you sat.

October is the best time when they are gathering food for the winter and again in the spring when they are out to retreive it. Yesterday I spent around 2 hours and at times there were half a dozen close by so spoilt for choice
