Due to neck injury I am struggling to hold large lenses, so I have invested in a 300 PF. So far I am more than happy with the weight on my D7500 and I am at least framing shots that I have been missing of late. Focus and exposure needs some work methinks..... Fairly dull cloudy day so settings from f4-f8, 1/500-1/1000 auto iso HH

I think you've managed the focus point really well on the majority of these, plus the true skill is getting within 10 feet of these little gits before they're gone so it's a thumbs up from me!

Nice shots - yet to see more than a couple here but ( as others did ) I seem to have the habit of chopping back the buddeia at just the wrong time of year. I got masses of shots mid August ‘19 - and little since.

In case you havent tried it, the 300pf takes a tc 14e ii or iii very well / obviously you lose a stop but not too much in IQ - gives you a bit more working room.

Nasim in Photograpphy Life looked at the three TCs with that lens.

The long lenses really help though I know what you mean about weight. I used to use a Nikon V3 and the 300pf or a 70-300 cx - but I had to stand the other side if a 3m wide pond most of the time so I needed long reach.
