Any advice on fixing the bown out sky ? I like the photo but the sky bugs me

Had a play, opened it as a raw file in CS4, used the grad exposure tool then increased the black level to bring out the seaweed

you didn't take that in Northenden....i suspect you needed a ND graduated filter to stop it happening but i've had a fiddle and made it worse ....i've got a few like that myself.
