I am finally beginning to get the hang of candids so what do you think

Not one comment, so its rubbish then

It's a good attempt Pete. It just looks a bit soft on my screen, i think you may have got the focus on her hood rather than her face. It would also benefit from some more engagement from the subject or something about it that tells a story about her in some way.

just a fast shot of someone in a crowd ....one min there and then gone but thanks for the comment but if I ask them to pose it wouldnt be candid....

And that's the trick with candid, getting them unposed but with the maximum engagement, that's what separates a shot from a really good candid. It can be done, but it can take a lot of patience and perseverance, and some front sometimes

so what should I be looking for to make it a good candid

I got a few from todays shoot but I thought that was the best, will post amother for crit as it does more good than harm lol
