canon 1000d lens mount info

Hi, i have recently ventured into the world of DSLR and got a canon 1000d and i was wondering if there was a lens mount available that would let me use my Sigma 170 - 500 APO which has a Sigma SA Fb44mm mount that i used on my Sigma SA-5, many thanks in advance, Roy...

The Canon mount will certainly not let you mount the sigma directly but I've seen a lengthy discussion on the subject here: http://photo.net/digital-camera-forum/00KR5Y

many thanks for that 'The Matt' all i can gather is that my lens is a no no for that camera...
