Canon 3d and 5d mark 2 which is better for noise at high Iso

Hi

Which of the canon range is better for shooting using indoors at high iso?

I currently have the 5d and 20d. If I were to upgrade which should I get?

I would say the 5D is better than 20D or 30D. All use the Digic II processor, but the pixel density on the 5D is less.

If you are to upgrade I would have thought 5D2 over 50D

How about 5d (classic) vs 40d?

As for 5dmkii vs 5d classic, the mkII seems to be very highly rated for its high ISO abilities

I used to be terrified of cranking my 400d up to 1200ISO or whatever it was... on the 5D im not bothered if im at 3200... 6400 shows slight signs of noise but not enough to ruin a shot

I regularly use ISO 1600 on the 5D classic (with fast glass). Noise isn't such an issue as the loss of sharpness IMO. Still delivers great colour and overall pleasing images though, again IMO.
