Not normally a motorsport togger but as I have recently purchased a canon 75 -300 usm L lens so I wanted to put it through its paces. Castle Combe as ever was a delight to visit and given it was a two day event the admission price was excellent value for money.

From a technique point of view I found panning at 1/125 a challenge purely as I have not practiced much in the past. A review of my images my showed my best shots were at 1/160. What I did fine was that coombe does offer several spots to take clean "no fence" shots. I did struggle to find a different viewpoint from no doubt the normal shots the more experienced of you who have visited Castle Combe have seen but here's a few from the event. I will be returning at some point in the future to the circuit.

Thanks for looking and thanks for the inspirational shots on this section of Talk Photography. I have learnt a lot just by reading through posts in the Motor sport section.

Very nice set Paul what lens did you use to capture these? Your shots are much tighter than mine just wondered what lens you used. It was great to see some classic cars racing a full choke. My only disappointment was not capturing any of Nick Masons Maserati 250F on Sunday (typical I was at lunch)
