A little sight seeing and some casual shooting around Birmingham today.

A couple from the new Central Library. First visit, a real iconic building and definite must see:

And the interior is equally interesting:

Lovely leisurely day out, even caught some sun. Highly recommended :)

If you do go, try and make it a quiet time. Or allow plenty of time. It's hard to shoot with all the people milling around...

Do you need to register with the library or can you just go in?

Would a better idea to whack a 10 stop on and just let a few people ghost out?

Not if some people are standing still. You get blurry mess, but then it could still be preferable. Another way is to blend a few exposures and hope all the spots are covered.

Nice set I like the mono work on them. Omecnice perspectives.

The library looks cool in colour too.

I live in Brum, looks like I need to take the camera out when I go into town.

It's getting too serious when you crack a big stopper out!
It was a casual day out rather then a day to go take pictures. I left the tripod and filters at home.

very nice mixed set of images that capture those landmarks well and with some originality

Good set Daniel I especially like No2 & no5. Great perspective on them both and the mono conversion suits. Last one is pretty decent too but a shame you didn't get the whole reflection.
