Out in Bakewell yesterday for her birthday and managed to get this loverly shot in a garden along the river. Weather at the time was overcast a little and most of the light was blocked out by tall trees at the location but I did manage to grab a very rare picture of her (she does not like her photo taken).

Taken with D3300 and stock kit lens.

Nice flat lighting, but a longer f/l would have been more attractive. (You’ll know for next time).

Yeah I now know what you mean. I now have some Softboxes for indoor portraits so I will be able to get more out of what I want to achieve. Thanks for the tip
