Wild Couple of Flesh flies

Whilst walking back from our local river i noticed lots of black blobs on the seed heads of grasses. They turned out to be roosting Flesh flies. I was trying out a 9 inch square soft box attached to my flash. Seems to work well apart from it looking a bit scary from the flies prospective. 70D + 100mm macro.

Diffusion looks really nice from the softbox. Will have to have a look for something like that as I'm playing around with various diffusion methods for macro. Great detail in both these shots.

I think it works better than my ring flash but it feels a bit awkward and definatly frightens the bugs but only costs a tenner on amazon.
