Nice range of tones in the B&W conversion Dominic, easy to see why you prefer it. Good work.
I do like the colour image too, particularly the treatment you have given it in processing.
 
No2 in colour is right for me- the Shears could be laying down to the right of shot avoiding the awkward position they are in

I like both, but the positioning of the shears is just odd/awkward IMO...
Exactly my thoughts - nice tones and colours in No. 2, but shears/secateurs should be laid on the bench.
The B&W works really well, I agree with the others about the secateurs

With regards to the snippers/secateurs, i was just trying something a little different from the norm, but i guess it didn't really work.
