Ewwwwwww, I hope you squished it after taking the shot? :puke:

Having just swatted one of those things as it flew in the window, thanks to your your wonderful close-up shot :puke:
I now have the urge to go bleach everything in sight!

Very good with excellent detail in the head (Im sooo not jealous)

... but please CT ... go find the cute ones! ;)

I would have zapped it indoors but this one was outside on the window ledge.

Nice shot CT. Jeff Goldblum would have been so proud.
Dean:)

Very nice shot with plenty of detail CT.

Razor thin DOF though isnt it..:D

Very nice image (y) they really are cute up close and personal aren't they:D

Smooth as a 7lb lump hammer. ;)

Waits for totally appropriate smiley. :woot:

That's a great picture. Love it... Head detail is awesome. Imagine if flies were the size of lions - how scary would they be then?

LOL The size of a Jack Russell would be enough for me!

Crispy that one ced.

When I get my macros looking like that i'll be a happy man.

Well it's OK, but I'd really rather go for a bit more distance and a more pictorial look, but all I seem to have at the moment are bloody flies, so I might just as well go for the full gross effect.

The macro twin light is great for tackling these shots in low light although it tends to produce a rather flat light in common with all flashes of this type. You can vary the flash ratio between the two heads or even turn one off completely which helps a bit. I'd far rather use natural light really, but it's hopeless the way the weather has been lately.

it's got a face only it's mother could love :p
