I also got up close to a couple of dragons with the MPE whilst at Thursley.

A female black darter.

A Golden-ringed

The shots are between 1 - 2x magnification marks.

Canon 650D with Canon MPE-65mm Macro Lens. ISO 200 F11 1/200. Flash from MT-24ex Twin Flash with Cream Ice Diffusers and extra vellum.

Thanks they were real close almost face to lens.

Bryn I will post something on them later. I should of typed cream slice diffuser as they are from the packaging of some sainsbury cream slices. Yum!

I was fortunate to get these two basking and resting. They were only there for a minute or so, and was something I've been attempting to get for a few weeks. First time I got lucky with them.

great shots Chris - a Canon body would seem to be worth it for that lens …. but I am always full of GAS
