Durham B&W

Hi all,

Took the camera out for a brief period today just to try out the new lens, was great to be back with a DSLR after not using one for so long.
Anyway, here a few I took, mainly B&W but one colour too. Im really starting to enjoy B&W with a bit of grain and tone. C&C/any comments are more than welcome and encouraged

Focus seems out a bit for that one, never mind!

It's all a bit dark to me. Interesting shots, but just too dark. It's like you're trying to hide something from the viewer almost.

Of the B&Ws, in 1, 2 and 4 the contrast is too harsh. 3 has lovely tones, could have taken a bit more care with the composition though.

I suspect you might be slightly oversharpening.
