Edinburgh Wedding Candid..

Found this on my Flickr earlier, I'll post the story as I put on there..

Whilst in Edinburgh (and often Glasgow as well), the sound of pipers can often be heard. As we were walking down the Royal Mile, we spotted this piper leading a wedding party down the road, on their way to the wedding reception. The newlywed couple seemed to be enjoying theirselves, as were the many hundreds of people en route who stopped to watch.

I saw almost the exact same scene in London once - couldn't work out where the sound was coming from and then they appeared, fantastic!

It was quite awesome to see. I love bagpipes, and was taking a photo of one a bit further up the road, when one of the lads I was with mentioned seeing the wedding party (he's got a 70-200 f/2.8 that I really want), so we followed it down the road until they turned off. There were a fair few people with little point and shoots out as well, it was quite fun to see.
