Yes
Can anybody recommend a supplier that will allow us to purchase using local authority purchase orders, our normal suppliers only have some of the bits we want and was hoping to get all from one source.

Cheers

As said, suppliers of what? DSLRs, tripods, cleaning materials, mount board, lighting? Cheese?

Perhaps he thinks we're all psychics and will know what he means without him telling us.

Actually thats a good point about exactly what type of kit - could be video too.

BTW David you might want to correct the spelling of Education in the subject line ;)

Ooops grammer police :( trying to type on a iPhone screen with fat fingers is a chore at the best of times

Ok sorry - To be more specific, camera equipment such as a camera (eos 700d), nifty 50, tripod (model TBC), external mic for video audio recording (model TBC). We use BT business direct for a lot of IT stuff but they don't do many camera related accessorises or cheese. We use Birchalls for cheese, so we're sorted there.

lol, sorry I really should get one of those t-shirts :)

My wife bought a camera from UK Digital for her science dept, don't know if they stock all the bits though

I am sure Jessops used to do educational discount have you tried Canon directly?

Come on chaps the OP could have put more detail in the first post but was there any need for the sarcasm...

Now I'm not sure if you've checked but have you tried ESPO? as they do supply a limited range of photographic equipment, obviously they're never going to supply to the same degree as a dedicated photographic supplier but ESPO is a specialist school supplier

I use H Preston for all the stuff we need, speak to John or Andy & they can give you an educational price on most items.

The problem with some educational specific suppliers is that the prices tend to be on the very high (RRP) side. ESPO falls into that category. I'd have thought as said, a corporate account with a photographic specialist was the ideal solution. WEX, as mentioned, or try Jessops.

Apologies for the earlier posts, this IS a friendly forum really, with a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to offer.

Oh yeah, and the odd bucket of sarcasm along the way, but no malice intended.

:)

I think he's doing OK on his own:

Back to the original question, another vote for WEx. I have a corporate account and they make it very very easy for me to buy whatever I need, whenever I need it. Except cheese. And they're not too good on cat food either. But fine otherwise.
