I was round RobertP's last night as is traditional on Fireworks night for us and tried a few shots - damn difficult at close range as its not always predictable where the explosion is going to happen - here are a few I'm pleased with...there are a few more in my gallery...ooh, aah!!!

Nice shots John especially the last one. I sat outside in my drive last night with my tripod waiting for peoples fireworks and every time i turned round to shoot the fireworks they stopped, so never got any, just a few of the moon.

Great stuff John and lovely fireworks Robert! ;)

You sure they were our ones in those pictures?

;)

It is amazing to see the variations in the fireworks, especially the twists in the first one.

Great shots John. The last two are my favourites.
Don't see many catherin wheels about these days, and least of all photographs of them.

I love the twists in the first one, very interesting to watch. We saw a couple of these last night, are they "new" fireworks?
At first I thought they were normal fireworks that had gone a bit skewiff, then it happened again...and again...and again...lol
