So got to go out and use my newly acquired 300mm for the first time in anger, loved it first outing was a getting use to it session and the second started to feel more comfortable with it, attached are a few from the weekend, first outing was the rugby second was the american football

Great shots. What shutter speed and aperture settings did you use? ISO? Hand held or tripod?
Good work. Well done.
 
shutter speed was up at around 1000, iso was constantly changing due to the sun popping in and out of the clouds so was using auto iso, using a monopod
 
good set, particularly the 4th one as the eyes draw you into the pic! which 300 were you using as im looking at getting one?
