I think the link you posted was what you saw when you were logged in to Photobox, you need to look for the link the public should use to view the image.

Yep its a photo. Of some coiny badgey things.
I take it you didn't use a tripod then?

i did use a tripod,don't know why its a bit fuzzy. first try so guess more practise needed.

Macro is harder than you'd think. Just wait till you start chasing bugs... at least your badges keep still for you

what did you have you metering set to?
was it set to centre weighted? may have been better on matrix?

You just answered your own question.

Not sure what you took the shot at (and too lazy to download and check if the EXIF is there).

Macro shots nearly ALWAYS require a tripod/monopod/beanbag.
Why: 2 things:
- The amount of light refelected off a small surface (it has to be since it's macro) is less than say a full face in sunlight.
- The DOF is nearly nil.
