Flying ants and workers

So today I noticed at the bottom of the garden there were quite a lot of ants freaking out... So I had a look and it seemed the male and female flying ants were emerging! Seemed a bit weird considering all the other colonies in my garden had their 'flying ant day' about a month or two ago.
