"Flying Scotsman" seen here on Barkston Moor with the first "Waverley" of the year, York to Carlisle via the S&C and return.

I don't have a camera at the moment so I had to make do with the drone.

Incidentally 60103 had it's cab roof painted white a few weeks ago as is tradition when a loco hauls the royal train. King Charles was visiting the NYMR to unveil a plaque to mark 50years

since it's official opening.

You're absolutely right they do have their uses, especially with all the lineside growth these days.
