This little chap flew into our window the other night so took it in and kept it over night in the morning its flying wasn't to good so took it to the local wildlife sanctuary I was just wondering if any one had any idea what it might be. my first thoughts was juvenile goldcrest due to its small size only 3-4 inches or one of the warblers.

It does'nt look like a phyllosc to me, the bill appears too heavy and the tail looks too long, reed warbler would be my shout.

Well the good news is that it has survived and was released earlier today. To help with the ID I live in the center of a small town in south west Scotland. I now that these are quite hard to ID a lot of them are very similar.
