Had a good day at Gransden airshow on Sunday. A small grass strip with a selection of planes. My highlight was the Hurricane, and also a great display by Mark Jefferies - 9 times Aerobatic champion.

Weather was very cloudy at one point then bright sun and blue sky! Really struggled with prop blur on some. Found my 70-200VR was a bit short, some heavy cropping needed. Really like no.3, sun gives some haze which I think looks good.

Mind you, 12 is pretty stunning too!

Thanks, forget what its called, but only 36 or so made in the 30's and that and the grey one are the only ones in Europe, based at Gransden. Were the Learjet of their day.

Fantastic shots, I really like them all. The Vampire is such an graceful display aircraft compared with some modern jets. No's 11 & 12 are of a Spartan Executive 7W powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior (where my name comes from).

Agree, not a huge fan of jets, but the Vampire is a lovely aircraft.
