Decided I would have a look over at Westleton Heath this evening, a location I hadn't been before. After wandering around for a little while I found a couple of tree the were on there own & quite interesting. Unfortunately it started raining but it looked like the sunset may be reasonable so I decided to stick it out.

Seems like the sunset was well worth waiting for. The first is by far the best for me in the way the colours in the sky and heather reflect each other. It draws the eye in in a way the second doesn't.

I would agree about the first being the better shot, I think its the colours in the cloud that match the colour in the heather.

Couple of good shots. I prefer the second. Slightly strong composition but the tree is much more interesting.

I much prefer the second one. The tree is unusual, the sky is interesting and I like the darker tones of the heather. Really beautiful.
