My first critique be gentle (but forth-right) please.
I can see how I'd improve them in some ways, by sorting the backgrounds' for a start. Although I have Photo shop elements, I haven't really used it as It's unclear what exactly to do. Also I was hampered so struggled to get different points of view - that would have been a bit better. Excuses over! :)

Looks a great dog full of character lol
1st shot seems under exposed to me and the 2nd over exposed shot 3 is great although he does blend into the background a bit and shot 4 is great but it seems to me your focal point is on his chest so his mouth is a little out of focus.
great shots though and like you I'm new to this and here to learn :)
 
I would agree with DaveOx80 that image 1 is under exposed and 2 over exposed. I would add that, for me, the framing/crop on 2, 3 and 4 are a little bit of putting.

Typical boxer though... all this sofas mine............
 
Thanks, I agree, Im trying to get to grips with the flash, & as you see Im not there yet. Another excuse - I was hampered with framing so tried to improve them by cropping. Yeah I was too wooden to sort the focus on the last one.
